Support in the postpartum phase
What does a doula do ?
At the risk of disappointing you, a doula doesn’t provide anything beyond a feeling of well-being and self-confidence for the people who receive her support.
She offers intimate moments out of the day-to-day routine. During these dedicated moments, everyone will find:
a listening ear;
limitless and unfailing empathy;
a source of self-confidence and self-esteem;
all kinds of information;
a pool of ideas and creativity to help you tackle questions or situations sometimes seen as problematic;
non-judgmental support in any circumstance;
presence during labour and childbirth;
a safe and respectful place of sharing and exchange.
